  types of surfboards

Gun:

The “Gun” is a surfboard design created exclusively for big waves and most surfers never ride these boards in conditions other than XL waves. We are talking about waves of 6 or maybe 12 meters high. They are long boards from 6'6 to 10 feet.

Longboard:

Longboards are boards designed for small waves, they are the best weapon for waves of half a meter because of their large size they are easy to stabilize, easy to stand up and easy to row.

The models in this table can be from 8 to 12 feet, most are usually close to 10 feet.

Depending on the size of the table it will take you a long time to be able to handle it and turn with it. They are difficult boards to maneuver but they slide through the wave effortlessly, that is the main charm of these boards.

Mini Malibu:

The “Mini Malibu” or “Mini Mal” style surfboard, also known as a “funboard” is a very universal board. It is a table very similar to the longboard but let's say it is a pocket edition, a smaller version. A Mini Malibu goes between 7 feet and 8'6 in length. They are boards with a wide surface and a very generous outline.

This is a good beginner surfboard design, the best board for paddling, catching waves and getting as much stability as a longboard.

It is a very versatile board for all types of levels and it beats the longboard in comfort.

Egg:

The type of surfboard called "Egg" is a mix between a longboard and a shortboard. You could also say that it is a balance of tradition and modern performance. It is worth noting the versatility for all types of conditions from small waves to big waves. They are called eggs because of their round egg shape. The design of this surfboard draws the attention of surfers for two characteristics that are very manageable and highly buoyant boards. The eggs can be found from 6 to 8 feet.

It will allow you to keep your balance more understandably in small waves and float and paddle with ease.

Fish:

The fish, a classic that does not go out of style. It is a short surfboard design in size and with more width and thickness than a conventional surfboard.
They have a smoother ride. It allows you to stay stable on long lines (Arc turn). They generate high-speed surfing from top to bottom, from edge to edge, leaving that feeling of floating on the wave.

The fish are very sentimental artifacts while being super fast and light when you punish the lip.

Shortboard:
They are the most common boards and possibly the most you will see on the beach. The design of a shortboard type surfboard are ideal for surfing vertical waves, attacking the lip and flying through the air.
